Congratulations Gethin / Llongyferchiadau Gethin

An active member of St John Wales's Ecclesiastical Committee will be royally honoured at a special awards ceremony at 3pm on Saturday October 9.

Revd Gethin Abraham-Williams, a Sub Prelate and former Priory Chaplain of the Order of St John, will be promoted as a Commander Brother of the Order at St Mary's Church in Swansea.
Revd Abraham-Williams, who joined St John eight years ago, will be presented with the prestigious honour - which has been approved by Her Majesty the Queen, who is Sovereign Head of the Order, with 11 other exceptional members of St John Wales.

"As the St John Cymru Wales Moderator of the Free Church Council of Wales, my hope is that my promotion will help reinforce the commitment of the Free Churches to the work of St John," said Mr Abraham-Williams.

He added: "The most enjoyable part of my role has been visiting the different divisions in my south Wales region, and seeing at first hand the immense dedication of the volunteers', as well as the enthusiasm and application of the young people."

Busy Days / Dyddiau Prysur

This year, Cytun's AGM and Enabling Group was held in Llandudno (19 October). Progress was made on seeking to make Wales the first Nation of Sanctuary in the UK and Ireland. Good progress was made around the same theme at the Welsh Assembly Government's Faith Communities Forum this morning.

Eleni, cynhaliodd Cytun y Cyfarfod Blynyddol a'r Grwp Galluogi yn Llandudno (19 Hydref). Cafwyd datblygiadau ynghylch gwneud Cymru yn Genedl Lloches gyntaf y Deyrnas Gyfunol. Cafwyd datblygiadau da i'r un perwyl yng nghyfarfod y bore yma o Fforwm Cymunedau Ffydd y Cynulliad Cenedlaethol.
